Xan The Warrior - Character Model

Xan, the warrior.

Over the course of a month I've been working on the character following the awesome online course by https://www.artstation.com/ciscoraya (Thanks, by the way).

The character ended up having its own completely different spin from the original, both on the design and concept. This is what came out of that.

I also wanted to give the character design more of a solid base, so I tried to justify everything with a backstory of sorts. The runes on her clothing represent the fictional lenguage used by her people, the symbol on the back of her top also relates to this. It's meant to be the symbol of the "Uytha", the warrior of legends passed down generations. The crystal she holds on her neck, given by her sickly mother, contains the power necessary to aid on her quest to save her people, and become the ruler of the forest.
